Hinckley Fire Museum

The Hinckley Fire Museum interprets the story of the Great Fire of 1894 in the restored depot that was originally built in 1894, just after the fire. The museum, listed in the National Register of Historic Places, includes the original waiting rooms for men and women, the Beanery and the Freight Room, where once every hour a 20 minute documentary video about the fire is played. Life in the 1890’s is on exhibit. Open May to mid- October. Fri-Sun in May, 10am-4:15pm; Tues-Sun in June, Sept. and Oct.; Open 7 days a week in July and Aug.;Tours available by appointment on weekdays in May.
Willard Munger State Trail

The Willard Munger State Trail is a collection of multiple use trails between Hinckley and Duluth, and is the 5th longest continuously paved trail in the nation at 70 miles. It consists of interconnecting trails offering hiking, bicycling, in-line skating and snowmobiling. It highlights the picturesque scenery and rich history of East Central Minnesota.
